Assessments in schools with a semester calendar – 2023/2024

Considering the upcoming evaluation period, we have recalled some settings to be made/confirmed in the program.

•Remove any settings relating to blocking and publishing the assessment, so that teachers are able to register them, but students and guardians are not aware of them before the due date

We also recommend blocking and publishing grades after assessments are completed, so that they cannot be edited and so that students and guardians can consult them.

In education and training courses (CEF), the end-of-semester grade results from the average of the levels awarded to date in the modules assessed. For this reason, teachers do not launch proposals at the end of the semester, but rather evaluate the modules/UFCD as they finish. It is up to the class director to calculate the average before the class council meeting.

Note: If there are subjects without any module/UFCD evaluated so far, the class council must decide which evaluation to assign and the class director enters it directly in the grade field.
